In the fall of 1998, Narrow Road was invited to take part as a semi-finalist in "The Big One" a North American southern gospel talent search contest. Narrow Road joined eight other semi-finalists for the national competition, part of the Grand Ole Opry's Gospel Jubilee on the stage of the world famous Grand Ole Opry House. Once again for September 1999 they were invited by the Canadian Country Music Association to not only perform in the Country Music Week Gospel Show but also accompany other artists such as George Hamilton lV, Jim Witter, Kalita Haverland and Tom Jackson. Concert venues are a 'given' with all music groups which is 90% of what Narrow Road does throughout the year. However, radio and television opportunities frequently arise where they have subsequently participated on several occasions. |
